China Resources Power Holds Activities of Experiencing Social Responsibilities for Young People in Hong Kong

China Resources Power held the "Hong Kong Young Students' Social Responsibility - A Visit to China Resources Power" activity on May 27 and May 28. The programme invited 15 young student representatives from Hong Kong to visit Guangzhou China Resources Thermal Power Co., Ltd. and Hezhou China Resources circular economy Industry Park as social responsibility observers. The aim was to teach them about the work and achievements of modern power plants in production processes, green development and environmental protection, as well as social responsibility.

During that period, China Resources Power also organized charitable events "Light up Dreams" and "Light Bulb Initiative" for the local community. China Resources Power donated books and cultural and sports goods to the Xinhui school in Nansha district via the "Light up Dreams" campaign. Young students from Hong Kong taught primary school students to strengthen their sense of responsibility and set up ideas for life via interactive lessons, and they also gave books to the students. In the "Light Bulb Initiative", employees of Hezhou power plant, young students from Hong Kong, and over 30 elderly people from Runfeng Xingfuyuan, Xiawan Village gathered. China Resources Power gave them energy-saving lights, edible oil, rice and other resources as gifts.

The activity was jointly organized by China Resources Power and the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, with the aim of further prompting companies to live up to their responsibilities and take action, strengthening the sense of social responsibility of the youth in Hong Kong, building a bridge of communications between youngsters in mainland China and those in Hong Kong, and promoting exchange between the two sides and growth on issues such as practicing social responsibilities.
