On 12 October, CR Enterprise held a shareholders’ meeting, in which the resolution was passed to change the company’s Chinese and English name from “China Resources Enterprise, Limited” to “China Resources Beer (Holdings) Company Limited”. CR Enterprise already obtained the Certificate of Change of Name from the Hong Kong Registrar of Companies on 16 October 2015.

As of 9:00 am on 23 October 2015, CR Enterprise’s Chinese short name will be changed from “CR Enterprise” to “CR Beer”, and the English short name will be changed from “China Resources” to “China Resources Beer”, while the stock code “291” remains unchanged.

The Board of Directors believe that both the Chinese and English names of “China Resources Beer (Holdings) Company Limited” better reflect the company’s strategic focus on the beer business, provide the company with a clearer identity and image, and are in line with the overall interests of the company and its shareholders.
