On 1 July, CR Power’s “Experience CR Power, Experience Green Development Media Activity Kick-off Ceremony cum 2014 CSR Report Press Conference” was convened in Nansha, Guangzhou. Reporters from over 20 mainstream media in mainland China and Hong Kong, as well as related guests attended the press conference.
Related responsible persons from CR Power hosted the conference and the “2014 CR Power Sustainable Development Report” was released during the event. Director of the Research Center for Corporate Social Responsibility (“CSR Center”) under the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) Zhong Hongwu read out the “2014 China Resources Power Holdings Co., Ltd. Sustainable Development Assessment Report”, and presented the assessment certificate to CR Power. Finally, Group Deputy General Manager and Chairman and CEO of CR Power’s Board of Directors Zhou Junqing, together with the Director of the CSR Centre under the CASS, Zhong Hongwu, Vice President of “China WTO Tribune” magazine under the Ministry of Commerce Yin Gefei, media representative and Deputy Editor of people.cn Dong Mingjun, as well as the related responsible persons from the Group Directors’ Office jointly kicked off the media activity.
This is the fifth consecutive year in which CR Power has published the sustainable development report. This year, “Green energy nourishes life” has been adopted as the main theme, “hand-in-hand” as the key thread and ink landscape as the design motif in the report. Through the four key areas of “hand-in-hand with our shareholders, hand-in-hand with our partners, hand-in-hand with our employees, and hand-in-hand with the public”, CR Power’s efforts in fulfilling its economic responsibilities, safety responsibilities, employee responsibilities, customer responsibilities, partner responsibilities, government responsibilities, and social responsibilities in 2014 are fully disclosed. Integrating the characteristics of a power generating enterprise into the report, and through the special topic on responsibilities, “Bringing innovations to green development, and using responsibilities as the guiding force for the future”, the report focuses on CR Power’s green development, as well as its philosophies, measures, and achievements in energy conservation and emission reduction. In terms of the format, in addition to a Chinese print copy, an English electronic copy, this year’s report is also available in the new media, H5 version, further enriching the mode of disseminating and promoting the company’s CSR efforts.
“2014 CR Power Sustainable Development Report” is rated “4.5-star” by the CSR Centre of CASS, thus joining the ranks of other leading CSR reports. This symbolises the new level of CSR report compilation that the company has reached.
