On June 27, CR Vanguard held its Annual Conference of Managers for 2014 and the Performance Commendation Conference for 2013. CR Vanguard, Trevor Masters, person in charge of CR Vanguard and CEO of TESCO (Asia and Pacific), attended the conference along with over 400 manages from the headquarters of CR Vanguard, other business units and TESCO (China).

The conference was held under the theme of “Integration and Transformation”. A person in charge of CR Vanguard made a theme report “The End of the Beginning”, which analyzes the huge challenges and opportunities of development CR Vanguard and the whole retail industry are faced with from the external and internal perspectives. He stressed that CR Vanguard should shift its focus from retail channel management to commodity and customer management. He also pointed out that CR Vanguard should integrate with TESCO in terms of human resources to promote the transformation of the whole company and building a leading enterprise in the retail industry. In his speech, Mr. Trevor Masters outlined the history and current status of TESCO and pointed out the coordination capacity and leadership are favorable conditions for the integration of the two companies. CR Vanguard and TESCO should join hand to seek win-win development. Wei Zhe, founding partner and Chairman of Vision Knight Capital (China) Fund made a keynote speech “Looking at the Challenges Imposed by the Internet and E-commerce on the Retail Industry from an External Perspective”. Participants explored and exchanged ideas on the theme of “Promoting Transformation through Integration”.

In the afternoon heads of CR Vanguard granted awards to employees with outstanding performance and called on the 200,000 employees of CR Vanguard to follow their examples, exert their best efforts for CR Vanguard and realize their career development in CR Vanguard.
