On January 12, National Sea Fishing Tournament (Wanning station) which is also the 4th International Sea Fishing Elites Invitation Competition kicked off at CR Shimei Bay International Yacht Club. In the two days’ competition, twenty teams from South Korea, Taiwan and Beijing competed fiercely. The competition adopted trolling and set Team Award (team award for total fish weight), Single Fish Weight Award, Captain Award and Single Fish Weight Record-breaking. At last, Tianjin Team ranked first in team grades with the total weight of 10.70 kilograms, Yacht Association of China Team won the Single Fish Weight Champion.

The competition was sponsored by Social Sport Guidance Centre of State General Administration of Sport, CAA, Hainan Culture, Radio and Television Publication, Sports Department and Wannig City Government, organized by Hainan Sports Center and Wanning City Culture and Sports Bureau and co-organized by China Resources Shimei Bay International Yacht Club. The competition first adopted professional fishing boats in China. The fishing boats provided by CR Shimei Bay feature strong energy and stable performance and are also equipped with fishing monitoring devices, thus greatly improving the specialty and fairness of the competition. It is regarded as the highest-profile domestic professional sea fishing competition.
