On October 22, CR Pharmaceuticals held a groundbreaking ceremony of "China Resources Beijing Pharmaceutical Industry Park" and had a project construction program briefing in Beijing. Former Vice Chairman of the NPC Sang Guowei, Vice Mayor of Beijing Lin Keqing and relevant leaders of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Commerce, National Health and Family Planning Commission, State Food and Drug Administration, the State Council, the SASAC, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and responsible persons and other experts from the relevant government departments in Beijing City and Daxing District, a total of more than 300 people attended the briefing.

The investment project is a strategic platform to implement the relevant agreements between the Group and Beijing, and make use of the Beijing pharmaceutical industry development planning and industrial advantages and the internal advantages of resources to expand foreign strategic cooperation. It is an important measure for CR Pharmaceutical to realize its strategic vision – to be the industry leader in the pharmaceutical trade. It signifies CR Pharmaceutical’s entering a new period of rapid development. Moreover, this will promote Beijing bio-pharmaceutical industry to achieve leapfrog development and upgrading, promoting the bio-pharmaceutical industry to become a pillar industry in Beijing.

It is reported that China Resources Beijing Pharmaceutical Industrial Park is located in Beijing Daxing Biomedical Park. It covers an area of 640 acres with planning construction area of 746,000 square meters and expected total investment RMB 14.8 billion. China Resources Beijing Pharmaceutical Industry Park is constructed according to cGMP standard by internationally renowned design agency HDR with reasonable design and technology park layout planning concepts and advanced technology and equipment, which fully implements the green low-carbon environmental philosophy. Upon completion, the industrial park equipment, facilities and personnel technical strength will reach world-class level, with an annual capacity of 120-150 hundred million pills (capsules) solid dosage, 500 million liquids bottles of dosage, 23,450 sets of medical devices, and 800 sets of main process equipment. It is expected to achieve industrial output value at 20.3 billion RMB, and will become industrial clusters integrated with the development, incubation, collaboration, production and sales as well as one of the most advanced research and development center with the largest and most complete facilities, the most advanced equipment.

On the same day, 15 well-known pharmaceutical R&D institutions, world's leading multinational pharmaceutical companies, and leading pharmaceutical companies home and abroad signed strategic development, project development and other cooperation agreements with China Resources Pharmaceutical respectively.
