On May 31, Yuedong Delegation dispatched by the Electricity Division of the National Energy Administration went to CR Power (Haifeng) Project (2 × 1000MW) in the company of Xie Zhuoqun, Deputy Director of Guangdong Energy Bureau and others.

The delegation studied the development of the No. 1 and No. 2 Units on site and learned about the fuel transportation plan, the 500KV Transmission routine and general plan for the whole project. A roundtable was held in the conference room in the temporary construction office area, at which the investigation group heard reports on the establishment, approval, comprehensive construction and the development of expansion projects for No. 3 and No. 4 Units. A video clip about the development of the project was shown at the roundtable.

The investigation group expressed its positive comments on the strict compliance of the project management with the national policy requirements and requirements concerning application for approval by key milestones. The investigation group also proposed four requirements: The first is to strictly follow the national policies and review and approval procedures; the second is to continue to maintain the harmony of the community environment; the third is to place utmost priority on production safety and the fourth is to steadily facilitate the expansion of the project.
