On May 14, Governor Zhu Xiaodan of Guangdong Province and Deputy Governor Xu Ruisheng inspected Inspected Guangzhou China Resources Thermal Power Co. Ltd. In the company of heads of the company, Zhu inspected the production site of the factory of the company (Phase II), carefully examining the dust removal, desulfurization and denitrification processes and inquired in detail about the data concerning the environment protection. Zhu also examined data concerning the operation of the emission reduction facilities of the company in the central control room and inquired details about the process, emission reduction efficiency and the equipment stability. Governor Zhu commented positively on the efforts made by the company in the environment protection and energy efficiency and hoped that CR will continue to play its exemplary role and take the lead in energy conservation and emission reduction.

In the afternoon, after site visits to several power plants, Zhu presided over a conference involving representatives from the provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Environmental Protection Agency and power enterprises in Guangdong Province and made arrangements for the enhancement of technological innovation and environment management, with the view of achieving the goals for emission reduction in the 12th Five-year Plan period.
