On April 20, CR Sanjiu (Ya’an) Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CR Sanjiu, organized and dispatched a reserved militiamen team to the disaster area for rescue and relief work in Ya’an.

Braving the road blockage, loose rocks and landslides, the rescue team arrived at Longmen Township, Lushan County, the epicenter, at 4:30 on the same day. The rescue team immediately started rescue work, eliminating hazards and rescuing properties, under the command of the directing authority. In the evening, the rescue team camped on a dry riverbed with the task of guarding the barrier lake. At 6:00 on the morning of April 20, the team reached Gucheng Village in the mountain on foot, comforting the victims while performing their rescuing tasks.

As of the evening of 21, the rescue team helped moving over 30 TV sets and refrigerators and 2,000 kilos of grains out of danger, demolished three dilapidated buildings and built five temporary bamboo rooms for the victims.

It is reported that the rescue team has extensive rescue experience, with three members who participated in the rescue work in during the earthquake in Wenchuan.
