China Resources University Holds Innovation Forum and Experts Exchanges Symposium

On September 20, China Resources University held an Innovation Forum and Expert Exchanges Symposium at its Xiaojingwan Campus. Jointly organized by China Resources University, CR Capital and Deloitte Growth Academy, the event aimed at creating a platform for exchanges and sharing, exploring new approaches for China Resources Group’s industry transformation and upgrading, innovation and growth, building a talent pool of innovation experts for China Resources Group. The event was attended by the CR Group leader Chen Lang and heads of departments, heads of Strategic Business Units, industry experts and experts from Deloitte, Dalian University of Technology and Hong Kong University as well as 160 members of CRC Ways No. 10 Training Class.

Centering on innovation, Deloitte industry innovation expert Mao Jian shared with guests his insights and findings on how traditional enterprises may embrace innovative transformation. Deloitte China partner and dean of Deloitte Growth Academy Xu Jianzhen shared his thoughts on the value and the management of innovation. Deputy dean of R&D Institute Technology at Dalian University of Technology Hao Hai introduced their experience and outcome of Industry-University-Research Collaboration. CR Capital’s director explored how to play the role of capital in the development of the industrial innovation. The forum also invited directors from the CR Group’s Strategy Management Department, CR Power and CR Cement to attend a panel discussion. The panel looked into the sore points that  China Resources Group encountered during its  transformation, and explored how to construct an innovative eco system within the enterprise by orchestrating all resources including mechanism, system, experts and talents.

Heads of seven innovation projects from and outside the Group made their presentations respectively. Industry experts from China Resources Group’s various business units, Deloitte experts and project heads had in depth exchanges, and accessed and analyzed the projects. Presented by CR Cement, the R&D and application of the cement factory dust removal filter material technology was displayed and featured in prominent position at the event.

A total of 47 experts from and outside the industry were recruited to the China Resources University’s first innovation expert talent pool. Group deputy general manager Chen Lang conferred the Letters of Appointment to the experts. He pointed out it was the Group’s ambition to develop the innovation experts talent pool into a powerful think tank for China Resources Group’s future developments, providing intellectual support to the Group’s innovation drive.
