On the afternoon of September 21, Shandong Province deputy governor and his delegation visited China Resources Group’s Hong Kong headquarters. Chairman Fu Yuning met with deputy governor Fu Yuning and his entourages and held a strategy cooperation working meeting. Focusing on expanding, deepening and upgrading the cooperation during the 13th Five Year Plan period, the two sides reached wide consensus.

Chairman Fu Yuning expressed his warm welcome to deputy governor Xia Geng and his delegation in the first instance. He said each time during the “Shandong Week” held in Hong Kong in recent years, Shandong Government representatives visited China Resources Group for business cooperation, which actually empowered and speeded up the joint projects between the two sides. On hearing the briefings by the Group’s business units and introductions by Shandong Province city level officials on future key projects cooperation, chairman Fu said China Resources Group has maintained an overall good investment momentum in Shandong and all its business units have willingness to continue to speed up development in the East China province. He hoped more efforts be made to solve existing problems in the development of investment projects, and speed up the construction of key projects and their operations on the ground. Meanwhile he called for greater and wider cooperation in healthcare.

Deputy governor Xia Geng conveyed Shandong Province CPC secretary Jiang Yikang and governor Guo Shuqing’s greetings to China Resources Group leaders and briefed his hosts on the economic developments in his province. He expressed his thanks to a great number of good advices for future cooperation put forward during the meeting. He hoped China Resources Group develop more suitable projects for Shandong Province during the 13th Five Year Plan period and achieve more cooperation results for both sides. Xia promised Shandong provincial and regional governments will create favorable conditions for China Resources Group, conduct timely negotiations to solve problems occurring during the project development, and expand cooperation in healthcare, so as to achieve win-win success.

The meeting was also attended by officials of Shandong Provincial Departments and Bureaus, Shandong city-level officials and heads and directors of a number of Shandong companies. Meeting attendees from China Resources Group included Group leaders Wang Yin, Wang Chuandong, Zhou Junqing and directors and representatives of various SBUs and the first class profit center.
