On 5 September, Group Chairman Fu Yuning met with Han Zheng, Member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and Shanghai Party Secretary in Shanghai.
Secretary Han Zheng welcomed Chairman Fu Yuning and his colleagues in his opening remark. Han said Shanghai enjoyed a comparatively mature economy with a well-developed service industry, paired with China’s leading social management capabilities. China Resources Group sustained powerful operation under its strong corporate governance. Both CR and CPC Central Committee could strengthen their cooperation, complement one another for more win-win success in many areas, Han also pointed out that Shanghai now encouraged State-owned enterprises to “go out” and had made certain achievements in this regard. He said Shanghai city would love to join hands with China Resources Group in the exploration of “two markets and two resources”.
Chairman Fu expressed his thanks to Secretary Han Zheng for taking time out of his hectic schedule to meet him and his team. He introduced China Resources Group’s overall operations and its initiatives in business transformation, and shared his findings during his recent business research tours in Southeast Asia, Middle East and South America. Chairman Fu said Shanghai had an excellent investment environment with a superb talent pool. China Resources Group would give full play to its advantageous capabilities in its further cooperation with Shanghai and play an active role in the market reform process of Shanghai’s State-run enterprises.
During his stay in Shanghai, Chairman Fu also inspected CR Land’s Shanghai regional headquarters, visited CR Land’s current projects for sale and listened to the work report of business operation and future plan in the region.
The Han Zheng and Fu Yuning’s meeting was attended by senior officials of Shanghai Municipality, including Member of Shanghai CPC Standing Committee and Secretary General Yin Hong, Deputy Secretary General Lin Longbin and Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai Municipal Government, as well as representatives of the Group Office of Board of Directors and CR Land, who also accompanied Chairman Fu’s research visits in Shanghai.
