At noon on 22 August, Global President and COO of Coca-Cola Company, Mr James Quincey, accompanied by President of Asia-Pacific Group, Coca-Cola Company, Mr John Murphy, and Chairman of Asia-Pacific Group, Coca-Cola Company, Mr Atul Singh, visited China Resources Group’s head-office in Hong Kong. Chairman Fu Yuning met with Mr Quincey and his team, and had a friendly discussion with the guests. Both parties exchanged their opinions on various topics such as strengthening mutual cooperation, changes in China’s consumption trends, and global macro economic prospects.

Chairman Fu started off by welcoming Mr Quincey and his team, and gave an introduction on the Group’s key businesses and development directions to his guests, focusing on the development of the consumer goods sector. Chairman Fu said, Coca-Cola has always put emphasis on brand building, and through in-depth cultivation of key markets, and its strategic and forward-looking deployment in high-potential markets, the company has made significant achievements and has long become a representative global enterprise.

Mr Quincey expressed his gratitude for China Resources Group’s support in their mutual cooperation over the years. In particular, despite the downward pressure on the economy, the sales of Coca-Cola’s product mix through China Resources’ sales channels have been growing continually. Mr Quincey gave an introduction on the company’s strategy, how it manages to update and enhance the regional characteristics of its product mix continually through exploring and probing, and the company’s more personalised, new face for consumers. Coca-Cola hopes to further strengthen its cooperation with China Resources in order to unleash the advantages of both parties in the international markets and the China market, and achieve greater collaborative results for both parties in this age of the internet economy.

Group Deputy General Manager Chen Lang, Group Chief Strategy Officer Chen Ying, and related responsible persons from CR Enterprise and CR Vanguard also joined the meeting.
