Chairman Fu Yuning Meets Australian Ambassador to China, Jan Adams

On the afternoon of 17 August, Ms. Jan Adams, Australian Ambassador to China, accompanied by Mr. Paul Tighe, Consul General of Australia to Hong Kong, Mr. Sam Guthrie, Deputy Consul General, and Mr. Brad Peppinck, Consul, visited China Resources Group headquarters in Hong Kong. Chairman Fu met with the Ambassador and the honorable guests, and friendly talks were held between the two parties. Opinions were exchanged regarding the future of economic and trade ties between China and Australia, China’s prospect for macroeconomic development, China’s direct foreign investment, China Resources’ investment projects in Australia and the direction of its future investment.

Chairman Fu welcomed Ambassador Adams and the honorable guests to the China Resources Group, and introduced the Group’s core businesses and development strategies, focusing on the development of pharmaceutical, medical, and other businesses within the Group, the operations and prospects of China Resources’ investment projects in Australia. He said, Australia has an abundant selection of consumer goods, vast land and energy resources, and the local pharmaceutical, medical and senior care market were highly developed, which makes the country a highly relevant market for China Resources’ consumer goods, healthcare, pharmaceutical, real estate, energy and other businesses. Australia has enormous development potential and offers a strong complementarity to the Chinese market, thereby making it a priority for China Resources’ global investment initiatives. China Resources Group will actively seek investment opportunities in various industries in Australia, increase its investment in the country, and introduce high quality Australian products, advanced technology and substantial experience to China. By combining them with its extensive sales network in China, the Group will endeavor to further expand the scope of its market development, enabling the company to serve more people and create greater value for investors.

Ambassador Adams praised China Resources for its remarkable achievements across various businesses, and expressed her gratitude to the company for prioritizing Australia in investment initiatives.
