In the afternoon of 7 July, Group Chairman Fu Yuningmet with Dr. Zhang Fangliang, Chairman of GenScript Biotech Corporation, at the China Resources building in Hong Kong. The two parties exchanged views on cooperation opportunities in the related business fields.

Dr. Zhang Fangliang expressed gratitude for the long-standing support from China Resources to GenScript Biotech, and introduced the business development and strategic planning of the company. Chairman Fu welcomed Dr. Zhang and his delegation, and expressed his appreciation towards GenScript Biotech’s use of the industry strengths in the U.S. and China in its business plan, and fully affirmed the future development planning of GenScript Biotech. The two parties also held exploratory talks discussed about establishing a joint fund platform which can make use of their resources and competitive advantages for future cooperation in the biological medical field.

GenScript Biotech has largest market share globally in the biological gene synthesis market. The company has been listed in Hong Kong since 2015. China Resources Group isone of its cornerstone investors. Management of the Group’s Strategy Department also attended the meeting.
