Group Chairman Fu Yuning conducts site visit in Guangxi

Group Chairman Fu Yuning went to the Guangxi Autonomous Region to conduct a site visit from June 27 to June 29, and met with representatives of the local government including Peng Qinghua, Party Committee Secretary of the Guangxi Autonomous Region, Peng Xiaochun, Secretary of Baise Municipal Party Committee, and Zhou Yijue, Mayor of Baise.

In the afternoon of June 28, Chairman Fu and Mr. Li Ke, the Vice Secretary of the Guangxi Autonomous Region, inspected the co-processing project of China Resources Cement in Binyang County, Nanning, and attended the project completion ceremony. The co-processing plant is designed to process 300 tons of domestic waste from urban and rural areas every day. Its completion marks a milestone in the transition of China Resources Cement into an eco-friendly cement producer, and blazes a trail for the transition of the Chinese cement industry towards green and sustainable development. Chairman Fu then unveiled the new brand “Runfeng Cement”, which will complete China Resources Cement’s national branding strategy together with existing brands such as “Runfeng”, “Hongshuihe Cement” and “Hai Dao”, thereby further enhancing the company’s overall brand impact.

Chairman Fu and his colleagues also visited China Resources Hope Town in BaiseCity, and inspected the integrated service center, new residences, ecological wetlands, Hope Primary School and the local industrial park to thoroughly understand the local production and living conditions during the seven years since its inception. Chairman Fu and accompanying officials went to Tiandong Grapes Base – China Resources Ng Fung (Baise) Modern Agriculture Base, and examined grape planting and production activities there. During the visit, Chairman Fu held cordial talks with Party Secretary of China Resources Hope Town, Luo Zhizhu, local entrepreneur, Ms. Tian Qiuxiang and other villagers, and the conversations revolved around the dramatic changes brought to their lives by Hope Town. He highly praised Baise China Resources Hope Town and China Resources Ng Fung for their great efforts, and commended young frontline China Resources employees who have dedicated years of efforts in the development of rural areas, calling on the management of China Resources Ng Fung and other relevant organizations to create better production and living conditions for young employees for the modernization of agriculture.

After the site visit Chairman Fu called a discussion meeting with other delegates such as Peng Xiaochun, Secretary of Baise Municipal Party Committee, and Zhou Yijue, Mayor of Baise City. Mr. Peng expressed his appreciation to China Resources Group for its support for Baise City’s development over the years, and hoped that the Company could continue to help Baise City lift itself out of poverty on the back of China Resources’ diversified business portfolio. Chairman Fu said that Baise City is endowed with various resources and has clear regional advantages. China Resources will strengthen cooperation with Baise City and achieve win-win development in areas such as cement production, modern agriculture and finance. Both parties were present at the signing ceremony of three cooperation agreements, namely domestic waste co-processing, 2-million-ton aggregate and 600,000m3 commodity concrete projects.

Chairman Fu met with Peng Qinghua on 27 June prior to his visit to Baise City. Mr. Peng welcomed Chairman Fu and his colleagues, and thanked China Resources Group for its strong commitment to supporting the development of Guangxi. He expressed his vision that China Resources could step up technical innovation, accelerate business development and continue to support economic growth and social advancement in Guangxi. Chairman Fu said that Party Committees at all levels in Guangxi as well as local governments had created a favorable administrative and investment environment, which reinforced the company’s determination to pursue business development and expansion in the Guangxi Autonomous Region. China Resources and Guangxi have developed a close rapport over the years, and the two parties carried out cooperation at impressive depth and breadth. China Resources will continue to fulfill its social responsibilities and work closely with the Guangxi government for a win-win development situation.

During his tour of Baise City, Chairman Fu paid tribute to the Baise City Uprising Martyrs Monument, and laid a flower wreath for the revolutionary martyrs.

Mr Zhu Jinkun, Deputy General Manager of China Resources Group, Mr Zhou Longshan, Assistant General Manager of the Group, and managements of other business sectors also attended the event.
