General Manager Luo Xi met in Hong Kong with Lu Yongzheng, Vice Governor of Guizhou Province and other delegates who were visiting on May 17. The two parties conducted friendly discussions about strengthening their strategic cooperation.

Mr. Luo welcomed Vice Governor of Guizhou Lu Yongzheng and expressed gratitude to the provincial government and municipal committee of Guizhou Province for their support to China Resources. Luo briefly introduced the cooperation between the Group and Guizhou Province, and stated that the cooperation of China Resources and Guizhou Province started with Snow Beer’s investment in the local market in 2007. Since then, they have been cooperating in more areas on an ever-growing scale. China Resources’ investments in Guizhou Province span across all the major business segments while extending to other areas such as healthcare. In addition, China Resources attaches great importance to the development of rural areas and to poverty alleviation in Guizhou Province, and has been actively fulfilling its social responsibility with the construction of Zunyi China Resources Hope Towns. The "Big Three" development plans proposed by Guizhou Province — big data, big tourism and big ecosystem — are in line with the province's development conditions. China Resources will be actively involved in the implementation of Guizhou's development plans as well, so as to contribute to its development.

Lu Yongzheng, Vice Governor of Guizhou Province, said China Resources has long provided great support and assistance to Guizhou's development and has devoted substantial efforts in carrying out its corporate social responsibility, in addition to making investments in the province. He expressed gratitude to China Resources on behalf of the Guizhou provincial government. Mr. Lu said Guizhou is applying for the establishment of an Inland Opening-up Pilot Economic Zone and will focus on developing the “Big Three" industries — big data, big tourism and big ecosystem. It is set to stick to the “two bottom lines” — development and ecosystem. With a new development path that is different from that of eastern China or that of other western provinces, the province aims to create prosperity for its people while building a beautiful ecosystem. He said he hoped China Resources Group would step up investments in Guizhou Province, adding that the provincial government would continue to support corporate development through good services.

Also present at the meeting were Zhang Hanlin, Vice-secretary-general of the Guizhou Provincial Government, management of various departments of the municipal and provincial government, Madame Zhou Junqing, Group Deputy General Manager, and senior management of the Group’s Office of the Board of Directors, China Resources Power, China Resources Land, China Resources Cement, China Resources Gas, and China Resources Healthcare.
