Qiang Wei, Party secretary of Jiangxi Province, visited China Resources in the morning of May 10. He and other delegates were met by Group Chairman Fu Yuning and Group General Manager Luo Xi.

Chairman Fu Yuning and General Manager Luo Xi welcomed Secretary Qiang Wei who had last visited China Resources two years ago, and expressed gratitude to Secretary Qiang Wei and other leaders in Jiangxi Provincial Government for their concern and support. Chairman Fu briefly briefed the visitors on the Group’s current business development and its plans for growth. He said there is a lot of overlap between the philosophy of green development of Jiangxi Province and China Resources' strategic plans for the "13th Five-Year Plan". He said he hoped that both sides would deepen investment cooperation in areas such as healthcare, property and energy, while China Resources expanded its clean energy and consumer-driven businesses in Jiangxi Province. By actively participating in Jiangxi Province's economic development and working for the public good, China Resources was contributing to the Province’s social and economic development. Mr. Luo said Jiangxi Province has a beautiful environment and a rich culture. Fresh capital was sure to prompt a new round of innovative growth in the province. He said he hoped both sides would ramp up their efforts to foster cooperation in order to put results of the meeting into implementation. He was looking forward to expanding the scale of cooperation, and to expedite the construction of major projects.

Secretary Qiang Wei said the first aim of the visit was to thank China Resources for its years of support to Jiangxi Province and the contribution of its investment projects to local development. The second aim was to express the hope for a stronger cooperation between the two parties, and expedite the implementation of more investment projects in Jiangxi Province. He said Jiangxi Province had maintained a good momentum in its social and economic development in recent years thanks to its strategy of "upgrading of development, making the middle class more prosperous, promoting green development, and working hard to make Jiangxi prosper". The Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government have formulated where efforts ought to be focused during the period of the "13th Five-Year Plan" and are set to embark on a new path of development focusing on green economic development with Jiangxi characteristics. China Resources and Jiangxi Province share a common goal, which is to complete cooperation projects in a timely and efficient manner to maximize the return. The Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government will be dedicated to facilitate their cooperation to achieve win-win outcomes.

Also present at the meeting were Zhu Hong, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary-general of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee; Liu Changlin, Deputy Governor of the Jiangxi Provincial Government; other government officials of the relevant departments of the Jiangxi Provincial Party Committee; the Municipal Government of relevant cities; Wang Chuandong, Group Deputy General Manager; Zhu Jinkun, Group Deputy General Manager; Zhou Junqing, Group Deputy General Manager; senior management of the Group’s Office of the Board of Directors, China Resources Power, China Resources Land, China Resources Gas, China Resources Vanguard, China Resources Ng Fung, and China Resources Healthcare.

Jiangxi Province held the 15th Jiangxi-Hong Kong economic and trade cooperation activities "Finance·Capital·Green Development" exchange forum at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in the afternoon of May 9. Group General Manager Luo Xi attended as an invited guest and delivered a speech at the meeting. On behalf of the Group, Mr. Luo acclaimed the successful holding of the event and gave an introduction of the current and future cooperation between the Group and Jiangxi Province. He said China Resources will fully capitalize on its advantages of being based in Hong Kong and its businesses closely related to everyday lives of consumers, to seize the rare opportunity of Jiangxi Province’s plan for "Building an Advanced Demonstration Zone for Ecological Civilization". The Group will strategically plan for its investments in Jiangxi Province during the period of the “13th Five-year Plan” to contribute to making Jiangxi Province a representative sample of a beautiful China city.
