The Group Announces Corporate Culture System for 13th Five-year Plan Period

The Group has formally announced a corporate culture system to be implemented during the strategic 13th Five-year Plan period (2016-2020). The system will strengthen the Company’s corporate culture and better exploit the role which corporate culture plays in support of the Company's strategy.

The new China Resources corporate culture system comprises five key elements: mission, vision, values, development concept and corporate spirit. China Resources' mission is to drive business development to create a happy life together. Its vision is to become a widely trusted and beloved global company. Its values are honesty and integrity, results-oriented, people-focused and innovation-based development. Its development concept is to grow strong, solid and large for lasting success. Its corporate spirit is pragmatism, professionalism, synergy and dedication.

The new China Resources corporate culture system is an important measure adopted by the company to effectively implement the “innovate, coordinated, green, open and shared” development concept proposed by the central government. The system will allow the Company to conform to the new normal in the Chinese economy, to meet new challenges, and to contribute to the successful implementation of the 13th Five-year Plan. In 2015, the Group adhered to the important concept of innovating while upholding uprightness, and of never taking shortcuts. Guided by the principles of “passing on its communist legacy, controlling business cost, showing the dignity of the system and upholding honesty and integrity”, the Group hews close to the strategic direction of the 13th Five-Year Plan. The Group has conducted a thorough and systematic overhaul of its corporate culture system while continuing and developing China Resources' glorious traditions. The corporate culture system of the new era has been formulated after seeking the opinions of broad swathes of the management and staff.

The new corporate culture system is developed based on China Resources’ growth history. It is the result from a mindset that actively responds to changes in the environment and goes out of its way to meet future challenges. It serves as an important internal guiding principle for different business units in the Group in aspects including business management, regulations formulation, codes of conduct, social responsibilities fulfilment and brand promotion. The new system must be understood, internalized and executed by all employees. It is the spiritual flag to bring all staff together, build cohesion and boost morale.

With a view to instilling the China Resources corporate culture system in all staff and allowing it to play an important role in driving corporate development, the Group has distributed a series of “cultural posters”, stepped up relevant internal promotion and, more importantly, called on all business units to prioritize the implementation of the “Five Integrations” to ensure effective establishment of the corporate culture during the 13th Five-year Plan period, so that the corporate culture can be seamlessly incorporated into business operations, corporate regulations and codes of conduct, social responsibilities and branding activities. Such incorporation will ensure the consistency between our vision and our actions.
