On the afternoon of 30 March, Liu Huiyan, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province, and his delegates visited China Resources. The guests were received by Luo Xi, Group General Manager. The two parties has a friendly discussion on reinforcing stronger cooperation.
Luo welcomed Vice Governor Liu and gave a brief presentation of the company’s strategic plan for the 13th Five-year Plan period. After several visits and communications between the senior management of China Resources and Yunnan Province during the previous year, he said, major progress had been achieved in strategic cooperation between the two parties, and a number of cooperation projects had commenced in Yunnan, with many other major projects under active preparation. He thanked the officials of the Yunnan provincial government for their support for China Resources’ investment projects in the province, and hoped to extend investments to other areas and achieve more fruitful results.
Governor Liu expressed his gratitude to China Resources for its contribution to the socio-economic development in Yunnan Province. He said that Yunnan Province was making active efforts to push forward the establishment of the “demonstration zone for national unity and progress”, the team responsible for “ecological civilization”, and the “Centre of Economic Radiation towards South Asia and Southeast Asia”. Since China Resources and Yunnan shared similar visions, he hoped that the two parties could deepen cooperation in the “major health” industry, energy, construction materials, finance, highland agriculture, tourism resorts, etc. thereby facilitating Yunnan Province’s city-industry integration, economic restructuring and industrial upgrade to achieve a win-win situation in cooperation.
Present at the meeting were Deputy Secretary-General of Yunnan Provincial Government Li Jiming, representatives of the relevant provincial and municipal governments, senior management of the Group including Wang Chuandong, Zhu Jinkun and Wu Xiangdong, representatives from the Office of the Board of Directors and management of relevant business units.
