In the afternoon of 8 December, Xiamen Mayor Pei Jinjia visited China Resources. China Resources Group chairman Fu and general manager Qiao Shibo met Mr. Pei and his delegation. They exchanged views on further strengthening investment cooperation.
Chairman Fu welcomed Mayor Pei and his delegation and expressed gratitude to the Xiamen municipal Party committee and municipal government for their support to China Resources in its business development in Xiamen. He hoped to discover more opportunities to work with Xiamen to further expand cooperation in various fields, exploit China Resources Group's experience and advantages in relevant industries and participate in the economic construction of Xiamen. General Manager Qiao introduced the Group's business development this year and exchanged views with Mayor Pei on the two parties' strengthening cooperation in electricity, real estate, gas, finance, retail and healthcare in the future. A consensus was reached.
Mayor Pei said Xiamen has been stepping up efforts to facilitate the integrated development of Xiamen, both within and beyond the island. It is speeding up industrial restructuring and actively developing integrated circuit, culture & sports, healthcare and financial services industries while ramping up investments in railway, airports and other infrastructure and comprehensively pushing ahead with the city's construction. Xiamen is a very tolerant and open city. It will further speed up reform and liberalise to provide good development prospects for businesses in Xiamen. Many of China Resources Group's business segments are in line with the industrial development of Xiamen. He hoped that the two parties can conduct in-depth discussions and cooperations in more fields. The Xiamen municipal government actively supports China Resources Group's investment and development in Xiamen and will continue to do a good job in facilitating and implementing cooperation in various fields to achieve a win-win.
Present at the meeting were Ni Chao, Vice Mayor of the Xiamen municipal government; Liao Huasheng, Secretary-general of Xiamen; leaders from the Xiamen Development and Reform Commission, Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce, Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Xiamen Municipal Government and Financial Work Office of Xiamen; China Resources Group Deputy General Manager Wang Chuandong, and heads of the Group's board office and China Resources Power, China Resources Land, China Resources Gas, China Resources Capital Holdings, China Resources Vanguard and China Resources Healthcare.
