In the morning of 12 November, Jiang Jianjun, Secretary of Nanshan District, Shenzhen, and Wang Qiang, District Chief, visited CR. Group Chairman, Fu Yuning, met Secretary Jiang Jianjun, District Chief Wang Qiang, and their delegation.

Chairman Fu Yuning expressed his gratitude to Nanshan District Party Committee and the District Government for their strong support for CR’s businesses in the region. Chairman Fu indicated that, as “a port will strengthen the city, and technology will make the city flourish”, Shenzhen has made significant development achievements as a consequence. Nanshan District’s economic strength and its future potential play a key role in Shenzhen.  The Nanshan District Party Committee and Nanshan District Government possess broad views and high hopes for Nanshan’s future development, which are in line with Nanshan’s actual conditions. Chairman Fu hoped that Nanshan District would play a leading role in Shenzhen’s development. Based on his long-term work experience in Shekou, he shared his opinions in areas such as urban development, Internet economy, and industry upgrade, and hoped that Nanshan District would have a long-term plan for its urban development, giving full consideration to resolving transportation challenges. He believed that there was more room for growth, and mentioned that CR would participate actively in the urban development in Nanshan District, extending its cooperation with the District in the areas of “village-in-city” transformation, headquarters economy, and healthcare services, making more contributions to Nanshan’s economic and social development.

Secretary Jiang Jianjun, and District Chief Wang Qiang, thanked Chairman Fu Yuning for CR’s effort in developing and building Nanshan District over the years. Secretary Jiang gave a briefing on Nanshan’s development and future development ideas. He said that Nanshan was in the process of compiling its plan for the 13^th Five-Year Plan, and one suggestion was to build and position Nanshan as one of the “Double Centers” of Shenzhen. Development of the six key districts was to be accelerated, including Qianhai Free Trade Zone (FTZ), Shekou FTZ, Shenzhen Bay Super Headquarters Base, Houhai Central District, High-Tech Industry Park North District, and Liuxiandong Emerging Strategic Industry Headquarters, in order to build Nanshan District into an economic, technological, cultural, and international exchange center – a “quadruple center”. He expressed his strong endorsement of Chairman Fu Yuning’s thinking regarding urban development, adding that he believed that this had important significance in guiding the future construction of the “Double Centers”. Fate has brought CR and Nanshan together. CR started investing in Nanshan a long time ago, such as CR Vanguard and C’estbon water. In particular, since CR assisted with the construction and operation of the “Spring Cocoon” for the Universiade Shenzhen 2011, Nanshan had become one of CR’s key development areas. Secretary Jiang looked forward to CR becoming the leader in building the entire Houhai District, actively participating in the urban development of Nanshan, drawing on the strengths of its advanced concepts and experience. At the same time, he hoped that the two parties would further increase their cooperation in social undertakings, facilitating industry upgrades in Nanshan. Nanshan District Party Committee and Nanshan District Government would provide support in ensuring a good business environment and good services for CR to develop its businesses in Nanshan, allowing CR to achieve better results in its investments in Nanshan.
