In the morning of 19 September, using “Cooperation in Plateau Agriculture” as the main theme, the grand opening of the 11th China-Kunming Trans Asia International Agricultural Expo took place at the Kunming International Convention and Exhibition Center. At the invitation of the People’s Government of Yunnan Province, the Group’s General Manager, Qiao Shibo attended the opening ceremony, and met with the Secretary of Yunnan Province, Li Jiheng, Secretary of Kunming City, Cheng Lianyuan, and other leaders in the city. Prior to the grand opening, General Manager Qiao Shibo visited the exposition to learn about the products, businesses and agricultural techniques exhibited in all the exhibition booths.
During his visit to Yunnan, General Manager Qiao visited Kunming Iron & Steel Holding Co., Ltd. (KISC) and Yunnan Honghe Guangming Co., Ltd. (YMCI) separately. In the afternoon of 18 September, at KISC, he visited the elderly healthcare center under KISC and the Kunming Fourth People’s Hospital (Yunnan Kungang Hospital). He had an informal discussion with KISC’s Chairman, Wang Changyong and other KISC managers. Both parties indicated that, while maintaining their cooperation in the cement businesses, they will broaden the scope of their cooperation in health and elderly care related areas. In the morning of 19 September, at YMCI, General Manager Qiao was briefed on the development of YMCI’s different business platforms, such as urban development, water supply in the township, biomedicine, medicine and healthcare, and finance, exchanging ideas and reaching consensus related to cooperative work in various areas with YMCI Chairman, Xu Lei.
