The three-day Expo Central China 2015 kicked off in Wuhan on May 18. Member of the Political Bureau of the CCCPC and China's Vice Premier Wang Yang attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. President Qiao Shibo led a delegation to participate in a series of activities during the Expo.

CR's exhibition booth was located in the food pavilion of Wuhan International Expo Center, where multimedia approaches such as video, pictures and texts were used to introduce CR's overall situation, business units, and social responsibility projects. Focused on such businesses as food, beverage and health care products, the demonstration zone displayed a wide range of products in original and characteristic ways, including Snow beer, Ng Fung rice, C'est bon beverage, Pacific coffee and medical and health care products under CR Sanjiu, DEEJ and CRCare, attracting a large number of visitors.

Before the Expo, President Qiao Shibo visited Wuhan Mayor Wan Yong and other leaders on May 17. The two sides held discussions about CR's business development in Wuhan.

Mayor Wan Yong noted that CR has made active contributions to Wuhan's municipal and industrial development since its businesses entered the city, and hoped CR's enterprises can expand the cooperation scope and scale here. He expressed his support to CR's projects in Wuhan and demanded relevant departments to actively promote those projects.

President Qiao expressed his gratitude to Wuhan municipal government for its support and assistance to CR, and introduced the business development of CR Land, CR Snow Breweries and other profit centers in Wuhan. Heads of CR Land, CR Gas and CR Snow Breweries communicated with the heads of relevant municipal departments about their businesses.

Deputy Mayor of Wuhan Zhang Guangqing, Secretary General of the government Guo Shengwei and heads of relevant municipal and district departments, as well as heads of CR Directors' Office and profit centers including CR Land, CR Gas and CR Snow Breweries were present at the meeting.

It is learnt that co-hosted by MOFCOM, other central ministries and commissions and the governments of six central provinces, the Expo Central China 2015 is themed “openness and cooperation, transformation and development, revitalization and rising”. It takes undertaking industrial transfer and promoting investment and trade as its main task and information exchange, exhibition and demonstration, project promotion, cooperation and negotiation, and special forum as its main contents. By establishing a platform for economic and trade cooperation, the Expo is committed to pushing the all-round connection between China's central regions and domestic and foreign markets and promoting the comprehensive development of an open economy in those regions.
