Chairman Fu Yuning visited Li Qun, member of Shandong CPC Standing Committee and Secretary of Qingdao CPC Committee, and Zhang Xinqi, Deputy Secretary of Qingdao CPC Committee and Mayor of Qingdao, in Qingdao on the afternoon of April 29.

Secretary Li noted that CR has carried out high-level cooperation with Qingdao government and Qingdao enterprises in a number of areas in recent years, which have yielded great results. He thanked CR for its contributions to Qingdao’s economic transformation, opening up and urban construction, and said that the two sides can cooperate in many new areas and contents in the future. He urged CR to keep exerting its comprehensive advantages and upgrade their cooperation in consideration for Qingdao’s development strategy, so as to play a positive role in helping Qingdao adapt to and lead the economic new normal. The Qingdao CPC Committee and government will remain proactive, responsible and practical, improve services and optimize the developing environment, and provide the stronghold and springboard for CR to expand new cooperative areas in the city.

Chairman Fu noted that since he visited Qingdao last October, CR’s key cooperative projects here, including MIXC, city gas and cruise home port development, have all made new progress thanks to the joint efforts of both sides. He thanked Secretary Li, Mayor Zhang and other leaders for their care and support for CR’s projects in the city. Going forward, CR will continue to consolidate its existing businesses in Qingdao and contribute to Qingdao’s urbanization and industrial restructuring. Meanwhile, it will give full play to its advantages, make proactive plans and integrate resources to carry out more pragmatic and win-win cooperation with Qingdao in a series of areas, including modern business, energy, finance, and health industry.

Wang Luming, member of Qingdao CPC Standing Committee and Secretary General of Qingdao CPC Committee, Deputy Mayor Xu Zhenxi and leaders from Qingdao Land, Resources and Housing Administration, Planning Bureau, Commerce Bureau, State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission and other departments, as well as CR’s Vice Chairman Wang Yin, Deputy Managing Director Wang Chuandong and heads of CR Directors’ Office, CR Land, CR Gas, CR Pharmaceutical and CR Vanguard were present at the meeting.

Before the meeting, Chairman Fu and Mayor Zhang jointly inspected the Qingdao International Cruise Home Port Passenger Center that is to be put into operation soon. The two sides held in-depth exchanges about the planning and construction of the cruise home port city, environmental governance and business development in the surrounding areas, and future cooperation in related projects. They also jointly attended the signing ceremony of the Cooperation Framework Agreement on Development of Qingdao Cruise Home Port City among Qingdao Port Group, CR and China Merchants Group.

On the morning of April 30, the Qingdao CR MIXC was grandly unveiled. Chairman Fu and other leaders attended the inauguration ceremony and visited MIXC.
