On December 9, a delegation from Wuzhou City, headed by CPC Secretary Huang Junhua, visited CR headquarters in Shenzhen and was received by Qiao Shibo. The two parties negotiated issues related to the cooperation between CR and Wuzhou. Huang and Qiao attended and witnessed the signing ceremony for the Investment Cooperation Framework Agreement between the city and CR Group. The agreement was signed by Mayor Zhu Xueqing and Deputy General Manager of Wang Chuandong on behalf of the two parties.

Huang said that the Municipal Government of Wuzhou is actively adapting to the new norm of economic development through active measures, maintaining the steady tendency of development of the city. Meanwhile, it has successfully launched the development of Yuegui Special Cooperation Pilot Area along with the implementation of Zhujiang-Xijiang Economic Belt Development Plan. It is also quickening the development of Three Years and One Project program, constantly improving the public service facilities and investment environment, promoting the overall status of the city on a continuous manner. The location advantages of the city will be further brought out with Guiguang High-speed Railway and Nanguang High-speed Railway Program to be soon completed and put to operation. He hoped that CR will continue to focus its attention on and support Wuzhou by implementing practical cooperation in more fields so as to promote mutual benefits. He represented that the CPC Committee and government of Wuzhou will seek to provide the best all-round services for CR’s development in the city.

Qiao outlined the basics of the Group and said Wuzhou is a city with rich historical and cultural heritages and strong geographic features. The construction of Yuegui Special Cooperation Pilot Area and the continuous improvement of the transportation of the area provides favorable conditions for the two parties to further promote their cooperation. According to Qiao, the Group will continue to better understand Wuzhou and actively explore and promote the cooperation between the two parties in terms of clean energy, biomedicine, financial services, real estate development and retail business, with the view of making its due share of contribution to the development of Wuzhou into a leading city on the golden waterway of Xijiang towards the east, the deepening of the cooperation between Guangdong and Guangxi Provinces and the promotion of the development of Yuegui Special Cooperation Pilot Area.

Also participating in the meeting and signing ceremony were representatives of Wuzhou, including Quan Guishou (Deputy CPC Secretary), Huang Zhenrao (member of the Standing CPC Committee, Director of the Propaganda Department of the CPC Committee and Deputy Mayor), Xu Wenwei (member of the Leading Party Group of the Municipal Government and Director of Guangdong-Guangxi Affairs Office) and heads of the General Office of the Municipal Government, the Municipal Development and Reform Commmission and the Investment Promotion Bureau, and heads CR Profit centers, including CR Land, CR Cement, CR Gas, CR Finance, CR Vanguard and CR Sanjiu.
