Qiao listened with attention the work reports of Fuchuan Cement, Fuchuan Concrete and Hezhou Concrete and spoke highly of the business results the companies have attained and their efforts in actively participating in the market competition and developing the market. Qiao pointed out that innovation is the soul of an enterprise and managers should innovate in the production and management and focus on the production cost. Such experience as that of changing in the use of wet cinder in the production of cement for the purpose of making full use of the residual heat of the wet cinder to increase the calorific value and reduce cost, as innovatively adopted by the cement factory, should be promoted. The factory has successfully produced super fine mixed material from rich shale resources in the vicinity and the residual coal powder and concrete mixing machines that move with projects. Those are good examples of innovation. Qiao said that the cement market demand is relatively low due to the influence of the national economy. Enterprises should make the best of the wisdom of the first-line sales staff, actively developing the suburban and rural markets and compete on a differential basis to meet the customer demands for bagged cement, with the view of excelling in the fierce market competition. According to Qiao, the Group highly focuses on the safety, environmental protection and employee health. A separate EHS division has been set up and in the future, the Group will gradually develop an EHS incentive mechanism, further promote the EHS work of the Group through positive incentives and assess the difficulty of first-line enterprises in realizing "zero emission" targets in a realistic manner.
