Chairman Fu Yuning Meets Vice Chairman Li Rui of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region

On the morning of November 10, Chairman Fu met Li Rui, Standing Committee member of CPC and Vice Chairman of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, in Shenzhen. The two parties discussed issues relevant to the targeted poverty-relieving efforts for Haiyuan County and signed the Agreement of CR Group for Targeted Poverty-relieving Assistance to the Development of Haiyuan County.

Haiyuan County is the target county for which CR Group is designated for the poverty-relieving work. Chairman Fu first introduced the basic content of the five-year development plan for the poverty-relieving assistance to Haiyuan County and the progress of the poverty-relieving projects. According to Chairman Fu, CR should, while earnestly implementing the poverty-relieving projects included in the five-year plan, thoroughly study the resources advantages of Haiyuan and innovatively implement the poverty-relieving work by making the best of its poverty-relieving efforts beyond the business scope of the Group.

Li outlined the overall economic development, the investment environment and minority-and religion-related issues of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region and Haiyuan County in particular. Li expressed his sincerely thanks for CR’s poverty-relieving efforts targeted at Haiyuan County and hope that CR will be able to, while providing substantial assistance for Haiyuan in developing its modern husbandry, set up other real economic enterprises to promote long-term sustainable development of the county. Li also hoped that CR will increase its assistance to Haiyuan County in educational terms.

The two parties signed an Agreement of CR Group or Targeted Poverty-relieving Assistance for Haiyuan County at the conclusion of the meeting. Also participating in the activities were Li Jiangong (deputy secretary-general of the government of the Region), heads of the Poverty Alleviation Office of the Region and Haiyuan County, Zhu Jinkun (deputy general manager and Secretary-General of the Group) and heads of the Directors’ Office, CR Ng Fung and CR Vanguard.
