On the morning of September 5, General Manager Qiao Shibo visited Wuzhou, meeting with Zhu Xueqing, Deputy CPC Secretary and Mayor of Wuzhou and discussing issues related to the cooperation between the two parties.
Zhu expressed his sincere appreciation of Qiao’s visit and briefed the social and economic development of Wuzhou. As he related, Wuzhou is a city of a long history and rich cultural deposits and is now faced with a rare opportunity for development, with Zhujiang-Xijiang Economic Belt included in the national strategy, the furthering of the “dual-core drive” strategy of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and the facilitated development of Guangdong-Guangxi Special Co-pilot Zone. It is hoped that Wuzhou and CR will promote their cooperation and form a comprehensive strategic cooperative relationship in many fields for mutual benefits. Wuzhou will provide best services and create a favorable environment for CR’s development in the city by exerting its advantages in terms of location, policy, ecology, resources and transportation.
Qiao outlined the business status of the Group and the development of its various major businesses in the current year. According to Qiao, the development of Zhujiang-Xijiang Economic Belt will present Wuzhou great development prospects. He hoped that CR will be able to enhance its communication with Wuzhou, and, while continue their cooperation in the cement sector, seek opportunities for active and practical cooperation on concrete projects in the fields of clean energy, biomedicine, financial services, real estate development, commercial development, farm-supermarket connection and direct power supply for major customers with the view of contributing to the development of Guangdong-Guangxi Special Co-pilot Zone and the overall social and economic development of the city.
Qiao and CPC Secretary Huang Junhua of Wuzhou also met on the same day and discussed and reached agreement on a range of issues concerning the cooperation between the two parties. During the visit, Qiao also visited Wuzhou Urban Planning Exhibition Hall and Guangdong-Guangxi Cooperation Experiment Zone and learned in detail about the development plan, the industrial layout and construction progress of the zone.
Also participating in the visits were Huang Zhengrao (member of the Standing CPC Committee of the Autonomous Region, Propaganda Minister and Deputy Mayor of the Wuzhou), Xu Wenwei (member of the CPC Group of the Municipal Government and Director of the Leadership Office of Guangdong-Guangxi Co-pilot Zone), heads of the Municipal Investment Promotion Bureau and representatives of the Group, including heads of the Directors’ Office, CR Power, CR Land, CR Cement and CR Gas.
