CR Releases CR Group Social Responsibility Report for 2013

On July 30, CR Group Social Responsibility Report for 2013 is released on line. This report consists of ten parts, detailing the works done and successes achieved from the perspectives of responsibility management, economic responsibility fulfillment, employee responsibility, customer responsibility, supply chain responsibility, public responsibility and environment responsibility etc. In the responsibility part, the report for the first time discloses the CR’s concept of honesty and compliance in work, working mechanism, key work and analyzes the effectiveness and shortage, besides, the report also introduced the latest achievement of CR Hope Village project.

The report points out that CR in 2013 continued to explore to establish its own unique responsibility management mode, enhance the social responsibility concept, improve organization and institutional guarantee, establish a sound responsibility performance monitoring system, strengthen the integration and communication of responsibility and improve the capability for responsibility, so as to energize CR’s all-around practice in social responsibility.

According to the report, while facing the Macroeconomic challenges and centering on the annual work subjects as “lean management and multiple cooperation”, CR continued to perfect the corporate governance, intensify the enterprise reform, carry out business innovation, improve management, strengthen risks control and keep a good development momentum. In addition, each performance indicator hit a record high with a healthy and steady financial performance; the industrial competitiveness continued to improve and the value creation was effective.

The report stresses that, upholding the concept of “people-oriented” and centering on the target of “realizing maximization of enterprise value and employee value”, as well as countering the weakness and shortages in work, CR strived to improve the work environment and promote employees’ professional improvement, paid attention to occupational health, cared about the employees and carried out democratic management. Through the above efforts, each work done for employee rights and interests has achieved expected results.

The report points out that CR fulfilled the “Customers First” concept. By centering on improving customer’s satisfaction, protecting customer interest, strengthening products quality safety, improving capability of independent innovation etc., CR improved the weakness, reduced the customer’s complaints, exceeded the customer’s expectations, strived to create value for customers and grew together with the customers.

Centering on the fulfillment of supply chain responsibility, this report discloses the works progress and successes achieved on establishing strategic cooperation platform, promoting industrial progress, driving the value enhancement, leading the supply chain partners to fulfill their responsibilities and strengthen the media cooperation etc.

The report pointing out harmonious coexistence with the society is an important goal for CR to fulfill its social responsibility, as well as the source and power for the sustainable development of the enterprise. For this purpose, the Group actively responded to the national policy, paid taxes in full, strived to create job opportunities and assumed responsibilities of central enterprise; through enhancing safety investment, improving the safe production management system, strengthening safety training etc., CR has constantly improved safe production performance with each safety index continually improved; through carrying out donations for public welfare, organizing public activities and participating in the community building etc., CR has been establishing a good community relations.

The report stresses that CR has been insisting on the concept of “developing without sacrificing environment; realizing short term benefits without sacrificing long term benefits; beautifying workspace without damaging the employee’s health ”. Over the past year, CR has strictly followed the national laws and regulations about energy conservation and emission reduction and environment protection, constantly improved the management system of energy conservation and emission reduction, continued to adjust the industrial structure and closed down outdated production facilities, devoted to establish a resource saving and environment friendly enterprise, strived to reduce the resource and energy consumption during the production, as well as eliminated the environment pollution during the production and operation. While creating the first-class performance, CR simultaneously improved the technical level and management, marching towards the circle of global first-class enterprise.

China Resources Social Responsibility Report for 2013 is complied with the following features: Firstly, the report focuses more on the substantive issues: while disclosing the Group’s general report, all the CR subsidiaries are required to compile and release independent report or a simple version. Secondly, the report focuses more on the balance: in-depth reflection on CR’s former head’s illegal and undisciplined behaviors is made to propose preventive measures; in the part of responsibility, the progress of honest and compliant work in CR is systematically summarized; at the end of responsibility management part and responsibility fulfillment part, the content of “problems and improvement” is added. Thirdly, the report focuses more on the readability: Green Series design shows the good will of CR’s positive progress, sustainable development and target fulfillment; “One day with CR” is designed to vividly show the rich and colorful products and service of CR; and graphs, cases and flow charts are well designed. Fourth, the report for the first time discloses the process of the compilation of social responsibility report, highlighting the Group’s effort to promote management by compilation and the Group’s work ideas and improving the overall work level of social responsibility.
