On July 15, a delegation from the provincial government of Shandong, headed by Deputy Governor Xia Geng, visited CR and was received by General Manager Qiao Shibo and Vice Chairman Wang Yin on behalf of the Group. The two parties exchanged ideas on the strategic cooperation between CR and Shandong Province, discussed a variety of issues related to the investment cooperation between the two and reached a broad consensus on the further enhancement of cooperation.

Qiao warmly welcomed Xia and his party on behalf of the Group and outlined the status of businesses of and the investment and development of various business sectors of the Group in Shandong. According to him, the businesses of CR in the province have been growing in the first half of this year, thanks to the efforts of all CR members. CR has been increasing its investment in the province since the execution of the Strategic Cooperation Agreement between the two parties. So far, all major business sectors of CR have been engaged in various projects in the province and have attained reasonable staged results. In the future, the Group will further enhance its cooperation with regions and cities of the province.

Xia highly commented the contributions and developments CR has made and attained in the province. As he pointed out the conference between the two parties features innovative form and positive and practical attitude and the discussions attained satisfactory results. CR businesses in Shandong enjoy broad cooperation scope, great development potentials and attractive prospects. He hoped that the two parties will maintain smooth communication and address problems arising in the course of cooperation. He undertook that the CPC Committee and the provincial government will make their best efforts to create the best environment and further expand the scope of cooperation and scale of investment of CR in the province. He finally invited leader of the Group to visit and discuss cooperation-related issues on behalf of CPC Secretary Jiang Yikang and Governor Guo Shuqing.

Also participating in the conference were Liu Honghua and Sun Chuanshang, both deputy secretaries-general of the provincial government and heads of the provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Economy, Trade and IT Commission, the Office of Commerce, the Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, the Finance Office and relevant cities as well as Deputy General Manager Zhou Junqing and heads of the Directors’ Office, CR Power, CR Land, CR Gas, CR Pharmaceutical, CR Vanguard, CR Beer and CR Textile.

During the current session of Hong Kong-Shandong Week, two delegations from Qingdao and Jinan, headed by Deputy Mayor Liu Mingjun of Qingdao and Deputy Mayor Zhang Haibo of Jinan Province visited CR on July 14 and 15, respectively. General Manager Qiao Shibo met with the delegations and discussed issues related to the investment and cooperation projects of CR in the two cities.
