Between July 9 and 12, General Manager Qiao Shibo visited Gansu Province and met with Luo Xiaohu, member of the Standing CPC Committee and Executive Deputy Governor of Gansu Province, in Lanzhou, Xia Hongmin, Assistant to Governor and CPC Secretary of Qingyang City, and Major Luan Kejun of Qingyang City, as well as Ma Guangming, CPC Secretary of Jiuquan City in Jiuquan and discussed the further enhancement of the cooperation and investment. Qiao also inspected CR enterprises in the province.

On the morning of July 10, Qiao first met Luo in Lanzhou. Qiao outlined the development of the major businesses of CR and the investment projects of the retail, beer and wind power sectors of CR in Gansu Province. According to Qiao, while promoting the scale of its existing businesses in the province, CR will further enhance its cooperation with local governments in real estate and gas fields, especially in the fields of new energy in the province, with the view of making positive contribution to the social and economic development of Gansu Province. He hoped that the CPC Committee and the Provincial Government of Gansu and prefectures and cities will provide substantial support. Luo pointed out that CR is one of the Fortune 500, with sound reputation and competency. The CPC Committee and Provincial Government of Gansu highly value the CR’s involvement in the investment and development of Gansu Province and will continue to provide substantial support for CR’s investment and development in Gansu. He hoped that CR will take the “Construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt” as a favorable opportunity to promote its fields and scale of investment in Gansu, actively participate in the strategic deployment of the golden section of the Economic Belt with the view of attaining win-win achievements.

On the evening of July 10, Qiao went to Qingyang and met with Xia Hongmin, Assistant to Governor and CPC Secretary of Qingyang City, and Major Luan Kejun of Qingyang City, as well as other leaders of the city and the counties under the jurisdiction of the city. The two parties held a conference on a variety of cooperation-related issues, including the development of wind power base, the urban gas supply planning and use, the supply of special agricultural products to supermarkets and the development commercial donkey breeding industry.

On the afternoon of July 11, Qiao went to Jiuquan and met with Ma Guangming, CPC Secretary of Jiuquan City. The two parties discussed issues as to the facilitation of the wind power projects, wind and solar complementation projects and the promotion of the cooperation between the two parties in the commodity and other fields.

During his visits in Gansu, Qiao inspected No.1 Wind Power Farm in Qiaowan, Guazhou, the first wind power project of CR in Gansu, visiting the wind power farm, the operation control chamber and the living quarter and talking with the employees. He learned in detail about the operation of the wind power farm and the difficulties of the employees. He spoke positively of the achievements they have attained and expressed his thanks for their hard work. Qiao also inspected CR Vanguard (Linxia Road Store), the CR Snow Brewery and site of MIXC projects in Lanzhou. He also held a conference with his colleagues from various business sectors in Gansu, briefed the latest business development of the Group, learned about the difficulties they encountered in the development of CR businesses and encouraged them to continue their cooperative efforts to further propose CR’s investment and development in Gansu.

Accompanying Qiao in the meetings and inspections were heads of the Directors’ Office, CR Power, CR Land, CR Gas, CR Vanguard and CR Beer.
