Chairman Fu Yuning Attends HK Youth Employment Forum and Launching Ceremony for HK University Student Practicing in Mainland China

On the afternoon of June 10, Fu Yuning attended and presided over Hong Kong Youth Employment Forum under the theme of “Building Ambitions in Hong Kong and Realizing Dreams in Mainland China” and the launching ceremony for HK University Student Practice in Mainland China with Mr. CY Leung, Chief Executive of HKSAR, Mr. Wang Zhimin, Deputy Director of LOCPG and Mr. Wang Yang, Deputy Secretary-General of All-China Youth Federation, among others. Fu was also invited to act as a guest speaker at the forum. Also participating in the event were representatives from political and business circles of Hong Kong and major youth organizations and presidents of higher educational institutions and representatives of university students who plan to practice in Mainland China.

Mr. CY Leung and Wang Zhimin delivered speeches at the ceremony. At the Youth Employment Forum, Fu Yuning, Chairman of Hong Kong Chinese Enterprises Association and Chairman of China Resources Group, Mr. Joseph Jao-Yiu Sung, President of the Chinese university of Hong Kong, and Mr. Zheng Zhigang, Chairman of All-China Youth Federation and Executive Director of New World Group, shared their comments on the employment of young people in Hong Kong.

Fu expressed his optimistic attitude to the overall future employment of young people in Hong Kong. According to Fu, the school, family and social education equip university students in this international metropolis with advantages in terms of the understanding of the global economy and business philosophies. The transformation and upgrading of the economy of Mainland China and Hong Kong provide excellent development opportunities for young people in Hong Kong. Several local staff members of China Resources have been appointed senior officers and have made remarkable contributions to the development of the Group. The future development of the Group needs more talents and China Resources is open to all ambitious young talents from Hong Kong. Referring to his own study and work experience, Fu expressed his hope that university students will take hard work as valuable experience, value the practicing opportunities, develop various interests and learn to study, observe and think, so as to get prepared for their future life. Fu also answered questions raised by attending students about the difference in the office culture in Mainland China and Hong Kong and that between state-owned and private enterprises.

This year HKSAR launched the "2014-2015 Subsidy Scheme for Young People Practicing in Mainland China”, providing HK$ 24 million to 38 practicing in mainland projects for about 1700 students. This year, China Resources Group participated in “Youth Beat – Piloting Plan for Hong Kong University Students Practicing in Mainland China 2014”, providing several mainland internship positions in main strategic business units and profit centers, including Vanguard, CR Power, CR Land, CR Cement, CR Gas, CR Pharmaceutical and CR Financial Services.

Accompanying Fu in the event were heads of the Directors'Office and the HR Division of the Group.
