On June 5 and 6, a conference on the revitalization of old industrial bases of Heilongjiang Province by central enterprises was held in Harbin. Director Zhang Yi of the SASAC, CPC Secretary Wang Xiankui of Heilongjiang Province and Deputy Director Huang Danhua of the SASAC were present at the conference and Qiao attended the Conference on behalf of CR.

According to Zhang, revitalization of the old industrial bases in Northeast China is a key part of the strategic plan of the central government and is crucial to the national economy, on which the public places its high expectation. The CPC Committee, the government and the general public of the province expect much from central enterprises in those aspects. Central enterprises should engage in the social and economic development of the province with a more open attitude and a broader vision, with the view of making greater contribution to the revitalization of old industrial bases and to the new round of social and economic development of the province.

During the conference, Qiao met separately with Mayor Liang Chenjun of Hegang City, Mayor Liu Xin of Mudanjiang City, Mayor Zhang Enliang of Heihe City and CPC Secretary Wang Aiwen and Mayor Gao Huan of Yichun City and exchanged opinions of the cooperation of CR with those cities in the sectors of gas, pharmaceutical, new energy, medical services, beer and food. After the conference, Qiao also met with Mayor Wang Ping of Nehe City, Qiqihar, for the purpose of cooperation between CR and the city in urban gas supply.

Accompanying Qiao in attending the conference and the following meetings were heads of CR Land, CR Gas, CR Pharmaceutical, CR Beer and CR New Energy.
