On May 12, a delegation from Zhanjiang, headed by Mr. Wang Zhongbing, Deputy Secretary of he CPC Committee and Mayor of the city, visited CR and was received by Chairman Fu Yuning of the Group.

Fu expressed his appreciation of Wang’s visit and the substantial support the city has provided for CR’s development in the city. Fu said that CR invests in the city in many fields and will continue to enhance the cooperation between the two parties in the fields of gas, cement, retail and new energy and explore new cooperation in the fields of medical service and pharmaceuticals with the view of contributing to the industry transformation and development of the service industry in the city.

According to Wang, Zhanjiang is facilitating a series of major industrial projects, the development of Shenzhen-Zhanjiang High-speed Railway and Zhanjiang International Airport and its urbanization, aiming at becoming one of the cities in the second economic tier of Guangdong. Zhanjiang and CR have established a harmonious long-term cooperative relationship and it is hoped that the two will further expand their cooperation in the service industry and the transformation of old towns, factories and villages on the basis of cooperation on existing industrial projects.

Also present at the meeting were heads of the Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation Bureau, the Urban Planning Bureau and the Foreign Affairs Bureau of the city, representatives from Zhanjiang Port Group, including Chairman Zhang Yi and President Liu Enhuai, and representatives from CR, including Deputy General Manager Wang Chuandong and Zhou Longshan, Assistant to General Manager as well as heads of CR Power, CR Cement, CR Gas and Vanguard.
