CR Rates Class A in the Annual Appraisal of the Legal Work

The SASAC recently announced the result of the appraisal of central enterprises in terms of the achievement of the goals for the second year of the third three-year periods for the implementation of the legal work requirements. CR was appraised Class A.

In 2013, CR achieved remarkable development in the legal affair management: Regulations and systems, economic contracts and major decisions of the headquarters and major subsidiaries were reviewed from the legal perspectives; CR General Counsel Working Conference System was established; the legal function control and post order were sorted and regulated in an orderly manner; serial legal culture development events across the Group were successfully organized and implemented; legal issues of the Group were settled; the rights and interests of the Group were safeguarded by enhanced management of litigations; the legal risk points were sorted following the SASAC’s requirements on the improvement of the legal risk prevention mechanisms of enterprises and the follow-up audit management of ownership certificates were conducted in joint efforts with relevant divisions and units. Through those efforts the legal function sector of the Group effectively implemented the SASAC’s requirements on the legal work of central enterprises, providing robust assurance for the healthy development of all causes of the whole Group.

It is reported that the appraisal involved 113 central enterprises, rated at four grades: A, B, C, D. In all, 30 central enterprises were rated Class A, among which CR Group was ranked 12th.
