On March 31,the solemn funeral of Zhu Youlan, former Chairman of the Group was held in the Auditorium of Babaoshan Cemetery, Beijing. All members of the top management of the Group, heads of divisions and enterprises directly under the top management and employee representatives as well as representatives from CR enterprises, retired cadres of the Group, representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, COFCO, China Textile Group and relatives and friends of former Chairman Zhu Youlan, totaling about 300, attended the funeral. The funeral was held in a solemn atmosphere, all present bowed to Zhu with a heavy heart, cherishing the memory of Zhu as an excellent leader of the Group who made pioneering contribution to the reform, transformation and development and expressing sincere condolences to his family and relatives.

Also attending the funeral were Wu Yi, former Vice Premier, Gao Yan, Vice Minister of Commerce, and Gao Ning, Chairman of COFCO. Wreaths were presented on behalf of Leung Chun-ying, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong SAR, Minister Gao Hucheng of Commerce and Li Ka-shing, Chairman of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Limited.
