On the morning of December 6, a delegation from Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture, Jilin Province, headed by Zhang Anshun, member of the Standing CPC Committee of Jilin Province and CPC Secretary of the prefecture, arrived at the headquarters of CR and were received by Deputy General Manager Wang Chuandong on behalf of the Group.

Wang expressed his appreciation of the visit of Zhang and his party on behalf of the Group and outlined the development of main businesses of the Group and the excellent business performances attained this year. He said that since April this year, when Jilin Provincial Government and CR signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement, the investment cooperation between the two parties has been actively progressing. So far CR’s pharmaceutical business has entered Yanbian, and the gas business is actively seeking opportunities for cooperation. He hoped that the investment cooperation between the two parties can be further expanded.

According to Zhang's presentation, Yanbian, the only Korean autonomous prefecture in the province with a land area of 42,700 square meters and a population of 2.19 million, is composed of eight counties or county-level cities including Yanji, Dunhua and Huichun. Yanbian Prefecture enjoys excellent ecological environment and convenient logistics conditions (with cross-border transportation channels, land-sea connected transportation lines to Korea and Japan, an airport and a high-speed currently under construction) and abundant herbal and other forest resources. Currently, Yanbian is actively implementing Changjitu Development Pilot Zone Strategy. The government hopes to increase its investment cooperation with CR in the fields of gas and medicine, with the view of promoting the improvement of the infrastructure of Yanji, Dunhua, Huichun, etc., further promoting the comprehensive utilization of various biological resources and their added values, contributing to the economic development and social harmony and realizing win-win development of the two parties.

Also present at the meeting were leaders of the Bureau of Commerce and the Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the prefecture and Dunhua City as well as Guo Jinqing, Deputy Secretary-General of the Group, and heads of CR Gas and CR Pharmaceuticals.
