On the morning of November 20, a delegation from Weinan City, headed by Mayor Xi Zhengping, visited CR and was received by Deputy General Manager Chen Lang of the Group.

Chen welcomed Xi and his party and outlined the development of various main businesses of the Group and CR's investment in Shaanxi Province, especially in Weinan. According to Chen, CR is an enterprise of diversified businesses, seeking opportunities for investment in Shaanxi. CR’s retail business has expanded into Weinan and the wind power projects are already under way. He hoped that CR’s cooperation with Weinan can be further promoted. Participating heads of CR Power, CR Land, Vanguard and Ng Fung outlined the investment projects and development plans of their respective sectors in Weinan and negotiated issues related to the cooperation projects.

According to Xi, Weinan is the city with the second largest population in Shaanxi, located in the east of Weihe Plains, in Guanzhong, with a population of 5.6 million. The city is an important commercial agricultural base of China and is bestowed with rich mineral resources, with its reserve of molybdenum ore ranking second among all cities in China. Currently, Weinan is developing Greater Huashan International Tourist Destination Project and promoting the development strategy of integrating Xi’an and Weinan, which will hopefully bring greater space and more opportunities for development. He hoped that the cooperation with CR will be expanded from retail industry at present to comprehensive cooperation in multiple industries and expressed that the municipal CPC Committee and government will create a possibly best environment and provide quality services for CR’s investment in Weinan.

Also present at the meeting were leaders from Weinan City, including Huo Wenjun and Li Ling, both Deputy Secretary-Generals of the municipal government, leaders of relevant departments and districts/counties in the jurisdiction of the city, and representatives from CR, including Guo Jinqing, Deputy Secretary-General, and heads of CR Power, CR Land, Vanguard and Ng Fung.
