On the evening of November 4, Deputy Governor He Baoxiang of Hunan Province met over 50 representatives from Hong Kong based enterprises, including Deputy General Manager Chen Lang on behalf of CR, on Visit of Hong Kong Enterprises to Xiangxi.
According to He, Hong Kong is the largest source of overseas enterprises and export market for Hunan Province. At present, Hunan Province is accelerating the transformation of economic development mode and adjusting the economic structure, with the view of creating favorable environment for investments from enterprise at home and abroad. He hoped that this visit will provide an opportunity for the visiting enterprisers to learn about and communicate with Hunan Province through Xiangxi and identify opportunities for businesses in the province, with the view of exploring a larger scope of cooperation and realizing win-win development. He pointed out specifically that CR is a Hong Kong based enterprise with the most investment projects and the largest total investment and expressed his appreciation of CR’s support to the development of the province and his hope that CR will further increase its fields and scale of investment in the province.
Chen expressed his appreciation of the support CR has received in Hunan in its investment and development in the province on behalf of the Group and briefed the operations of CR in the first three quarters of this year and its current investment and development in the province. According to him, Hunan Province provides a favorable investment environment and main sectors of CR, including CR Power, CR Land, CR Gas, CR, Pharmaceuticals, CR Retail, Snow Breweries and CR Beverage, has established businesses in Hunan; CR is now ready to further study the locality of Xiangxi, to identify more opportunities for investment and cooperation and make greater contribution to the economic prosperity of the region.
Also present at the meeting were Deputy Secretary-General Wang Guangming of the provincial government and heads of departments and offices of the provincial government.
It is reported that this event was held to further promote the economic and trade cooperation between Hunan and Hong Kong and quicken the economic development of Mount Wuling area. representatives from numerous Hong Kong based enterprises were invited to participate in the event and a following investment exploration visit to Zhangjiajie, Huaihua and Xiangxi, with the view of exchanging opinions and exploring opportunities for cooperation in terms of trade, logistics, cultural tourism, financial services, urban construction, etc.
