On October 30, Deputy Minister Su Bo of the Industry and Information Technology visited CR and was received by General Manager Qiao Shibo and Information Director Wang Peihui of the Group.

Qiao expressed his appreciation of the visit of Su and his party and the care and guidance of the MIIT for various businesses and development of CR. Qiao detailed the development history and operations of CR and pointed out that the businesses of CR are divided into seven sectors, the businesses have attained rapid development and the team competency has been significantly enhanced. At present, with changes in the macroeconomic environment, the Group attaches greater importance to the quality and efficiency of the growth, lean management and internal collaboration. In this process, the Group has been making its best efforts to perform its corporate social responsibilities, focusing on production safety and energy conservation and actively exploring the recycling economy development model. He hoped the MIIT will provide more guidance and help.

Su offered highly positive comments on the concurrent growth of the scale and efficiency achieved in the process of the industrial restructuring, transformation and upgrading of the Group and the orientation of development focusing more on quality and efficiency. He said that this visit gave him a clearer understanding of the progress and direction of the business development of CR. The MIIT will further strengthen its links with central enterprises and quicken the transformation of upgrading of industrial enterprises with reference to international advanced expertise of central enterprises in industrial management and development. He also hoped that enterprises of sound brands and competency like CR will take the industrial restructuring as an opportunity to quicken the business development, promote the overall operational efficiency of industrial enterprises, for making new contribution to the merger and restructuring of industrial enterprises of China.

Also present at the meeting were Director Zhou Changyi of the Energy Saving and Comprehensive Utilization Department of the MITT, leaders of the International Cooperation Department of MIIT and the Provincial Economic and Trade Commission of Guangdong, as well as Guo Jinqing, Deputy Secretary-General of the Group, and heads of Directors’ Office, the Information Department and CR Cement.
