On the afternoon of October 12, Qiao Shibo visited Governor Lu Hao of Heilongjiang Province in Harbin City and discussed the strategic cooperation between the two parties.

Governor Lu Hao thanked CR for its attention and support for the province in the past years and, especially, for its donation made for the relief of the floods this year. According to Lu, CR is a competent enterprise with diversified businesses and a wide range of commercial channels. He hoped that CR can pay more attention to the development potentials of the province and enhance its efforts for overall cooperation with the province.

Qiao expressed that CR will make greater efforts to see to the implementation of its investment projects in the province. Heads of CR Pharmaceutical, CR Power, CR Gas and CR Retail outlined their relevant cooperation projects and needs of support from the provincial government.

Also present at the meeting were Standing Deputy Governor Liu Guozhong and Deputy Governor Sun Yao of Heilongjiang Province, Mayor Song Xibin of Harbin and leaders of the provincial Development and Reform Commission, the Industry and Information Commission, the Office of Civil Affairs and the Land and Resources Office, and Department of Commerce.

Prior to the conference, the two parties held a ceremony for CR’s donation for the reconstruction of Heilongjiang Province after the floods. During the flood season this year, Heilongjiang Province has seen the severest flood since 1998, causing substantial life and property losses to the flooded areas. To actively fulfill its social responsibilities as a central enterprise and practice its value of return in gratitude, CR Pharmaceutical and CR Power donated 1 and 2 million yuan, respectively, to Heilongjiang Province through CR Charity Foundation, for the restoration of the flooded area. Sun Yao and Qiao Shibo attended the donation ceremony. Heads of CR Pharmaceutical and CR Power presented the donated sums and Yang Xijun, Director of the Office of Civil Affairs of Heilongjiang Province received the donated sum on behalf of the Provincial Charity Foundation.

Also present at the conference were Guo Jinqing, Deputy Secretary-General of the Group, and heads of CR Power, CR Land, CR Gas, CR Pharmaceutical, Vanguard, CR Breweries, Ng Fung, etc.
